Simple E-commerce package for overseas trial

We're looking at getting a site for an overseas market and we want to do a trial before we get it done properly.

Anyone have any suggestions on the best package for it? I have very little knowledge in this area and don't really know anything past EKM and 123-reg (bear in mind we want something which can be done quickly), so any advice would hugely appreciated.

How much functionality do you need?

Have you considered sites like ebay for the trial or is the product/market not suited?
