Shipping Glass Shower enclosures

Hi all,

I have been trying to find the best way to deliver large glass shower units at a reasonable price, the dimensions of the units i am trying to send are 1m width x 2m depth x 0.6m height so the issue i am having is that the dimension exceed the standard pallet shipping sizes (1m w x 1.2m d x 2.2m h) so the quotes i get back are for 2 pallet spaces, which obviously doubles the shipping cost to around £100+ for a 2 day delivery service...... eeek!
Is this normal or should i be looking along the lines of a same day van courier service? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just to add the units are flat packed and boxed so relatively easy to handle. The shower tray is approx 20kg and the shower enclosure is approx 42kg
