Shipping Costs

Hi,

I am looking to import a small quantity of Rubber Wellingtons from China(non branded) and I am looking to see if it is possible to rent out a part of a shipping container if possible as I think it will be too expensive to send by airmail? and I would not make profit on the items then. The dimensions and weight of the box are;


Gross weight:15kg
dimension:61*46*47cm

Even a rough estimate to give me an idea if I can make money on this item. The port that they can be shipped from is Shanghai, and I am looking to have it shipped then to Belfast were I will collect or if not too expensive have them delivered directly to my door

For that size you are better off just using a courier, part loads in a container work on a basis of 1000kgs / 1cbm as minimum costs.

Container sharing would be minimum 1 pallet space as suggested by PowerForwarding, your better of just using DHL or UPS etc

The cost of shipping will probably be more than the cost of the goods. When you add duty & VAT, you might find that the wellies are more expensive than the high street - please tell me/us you have not paid for them yet/you did all your sums before committing?

You can send your 15kg parcel door to door at a reasonable price, enough to make a good profit on your items.
