Do you take advantage of technology to boost the sales and marketing performance of your business?

What are your go-to tools/software?

What are your experiences using these tools/software?

Hi Mike.
I'm a social media expert, so can only help with you on that topic, but you ask a good question! A few years ago, I was paranoid that everyone else was using all the best tools, and wasn't sure if I was up to date enough.

So I set up The Marketing Lab which is where a group of social media consultants and practitioners meet every 6 week to road test tools. We test a number of tools around a topic and share our results on the blog of Ireland's national newspaper. If you are interested in social media tools, you can check out our research results here on the inm dot ie blog - category social media.

(Sorry I'm a newbie here, not allowed to post links yet!)

Hi Mike,
I have been using Libris Unify. It allows you to upload the PDF's of your product/service and create personalised documents. It saves them in the cloud for use at a later date. It saves a load of time and customers get a personalised experience too. It's quick and easy to use and also free too, it's worth a look. librisunify.com

Total agree HubSpot CRM is free and brilliant. What I love about HubSpot CRM.

Go out networking, get a load of business cards.

Come back to the office and add business cards to HubSpot CRM, add a new company by adding in the domain name and HubSpot pulls in the company address and details without you having to add it.

Brillant solution. Solution is free, look: https://www.hubspot.com/pricing/crm

Why don't you just list the tools here @Maryrose Lyons I'm sure there will be lots of businesses here interested in social media tools they can use.

I agree with others here about Hubspot, it's very good and quite easy to use. I'd highly recommend that to anyone. Digital agencies use it for their own clients, so you know it does a good job.

Also, if you'd like a more personalised marketing plan to expand the reach of your products or services, then let me know. This is what I do for a living.

If your business has a website I would recommend our tool, Traffic Truffle.

We help you make more sales through your site by telling you who is interested in your products/services, and try to give you their contact details.

Thanks for that Jonathan - I signed up so we'll see how it goes.

@Dan (CE) Great!

I would also recommend Hotjar. If your site is busy they can are pretty expensive, but it's really neat for working out what the visitors to your site are actually doing.

Get started with a powerful email marketing and analytical tool to manage email marketing campaigns. If you are selling a physical product, use inventory and order management software’s to keep a track of what you have in stock, sales and purchase and warehouse information. Remember to segment your sales ledger into product areas. By doing so, when you add new lines or services you can contact only those customers that are most likely to be interested.
