I'm pitching to a few clients and I have my list price. Should I give them an RRP? What's the benefit?

Well, I'd say the benefit is that you can show them how much money they can save! Chances are that they are going to research for the best deal around! Would there be any reasons not to give the RRP?

Depends if you are sports direct or not i suppose.

nobody in the history of man kind has paid the full price for donnay and such like - even though he tells you its 70% off.

If you are pitching to someone, chances are he will know what it costs to trade/customers anyway prior to you even walking in the door. It's worth mentioning but remember other companies like DFS love to tell you that their sofas will be going back up to full price 'next day' :)

My recollection (from about 10 years ago) is that these terms have different meanings in law. Something like "If you state that is is the RRP then it must be the price that the manufacturer communicates, it is not a price you have created yourself. In that way all suppliers of that product who state it is an an RRP must have the same price.
If you state List Price then it can be anything you choose to create"
