Recruiting drivers for Scrap ewaste and metals items

Hi everyone im looking to recruit drivers all around the UK to collect ewaste and other items for scrapping at scrap yards. what is the best way i could recruit drivers where they are paid 70% of profits from the scrap yard.

Does anyone have any good recruitment strategies or ideas ?

70% of nothing isn't very much. You're going to need to put a value on their time.

Yes that is correct I have clients to collect from and scrap yards to sell to.

So you want employees you can control, paying presumably at least minimum wage plus a profit share?

Or do you want partners in your business where they share 70% of the profits?

so how it works and how ive done it in the past is where someone would get a notification to go and collect eg: 20 computer monitors from a client.

They would take it to a scrap yard and the dealer works out a price of £200 for those monitors and pays it into our bank account.

Then in return they get 70% of that £200 put into their bank account and we would take the 30% of that £200.

So on a self employed basis - you tell them where and what day to go, they go when they can or send someone to do it for them, they then get paid the percentage?

Yes that is correct

How many contract you got? Would it not be easier to use a carrier to ship guessing its computer equipment from one place to another?

So, realistically... who values the scrap? - does the "driver" know the value before he drops off at the scrappers or will you not pass this detail on?

With all due respect, I don't think it would work.

Distance = cost.
Diesel = cost.
Time = cost.

what you're offering is a small amount to pay for one drop... and to collect 30% and you've done nothing... is a bit much to be honest... all you've had to do is make a call and receive the money... 10 - 15% is more than enough for that and would still get you a tidy profit at no cost to yourself.
