Re launch of website on new platform.

Hi

we re launched our new look website about 8 weeks ago and assume that changing platforms will make us anonymous on Google for a while (although already we are page 1 for some searches). We are still getting orders and are finding that customers are spending more on each transaction on the new site compared to the old one.

We are continually striving to improve our seo and know we need to find some more relevant, quality backlinks - which is often easier said than done.

Would be grateful for any feedback.

Are the links the same as the old site e.g. domain.com/quality-item-title.php

If they aren't then you would need to set up 301 redirects from the old links to the new ones, this will then set google up to index your new links and not lose any of your rankings.

Thank for the reply. The links from the old site are all re-directing to the new site but to be honest the old platform was very poor and we had very few organic searches - we have more in 8 weeks than we ever had on the old site - admittedly some are page 3 on Google currently.
