Quick guide to amazon

Morning guys and gals :)

Were looking at retailing on amazon and after reading plenty of fors and againsts i thought i'd still give it a go.

However after looking at their set up pages on marketplace it all seems a bit confusing.

has anyone got an idiots guide to setting up on amazon or at least good starting pointers then it would be much appreciated..

I believe you can sign up for free and pay a fee on each sale you make or pay a monthly fee of about £30. This might have changed since i last looked. So if you just want to dip your toe you could try the free route and see how you go. Does seem abit confusing though. Do you not want to try ebay instead?

It depends entirely on your product portfolio.

We do very well on Amazon and not so well on ebay. We find that the traffic on Amazon is far, far higher and people will pay a fair bit more. On the downside, competition is tough, Amazon must be pleased and the customers are demanding.

Definitly worth a punt though:) We pay £25 a month plus 15% on all sales. (Including P&P)
