Hi All,

Just wanted to pic your brain on the following banner/image. It is at the top of the page here http://www.forum4cardiff.co.uk

I am looking to build new site and may use this image again (which i own) and then change the text as it's another site based on Cardiff.

Does it look sharp, professional, etc.

Regards,
Darren

Hmmmm not convinced myself. The font for the logo is nasty IMO but the banner has potential. Why not use a green instead of the blue, to tie in with the Welsh flag?

I'd say it's "ok-ish". I guess it's a personal thing so there's no right answer - I wouldn't go as far as to say wow, I think that whole orange section in the middle (writing on what looks like a castle wall) is a bit naff and wasted, and the commas are just a little bit weird. In terms of sharpness it seems fine to me?

Not sure about the orange at the bottom with the flag sticking out of it. Could maybe rework that? I think the images need to be masked entirely behind the commas too because you can see the divisions in the images.

With a little more tweaking it could look good. At the moment it's ok.

10p worth. I think it's nearly a very nice image. Right now things a little big & "in your face". The orange "castle wall" bit dosen't work for me.

Looks good, Not too keen on the orange wall though cheapens the look IMO.

I actually don't think it looks to bad at all, but it would be nice to see the flag featured more prominent, it looks like it's been added as a bit of an afterthought!

Maybe the flag pole could follow the edge of the white building image which could then be larger and swept down to meet the text which could be moved slightly lover and too the right.

Just a suggestion
