Printing Address Labels from eBay

Hi,

I've been selling on ebay for a while now and find myself getting busier. Up until now i've been manually writing the addresses and the return address on the envelopes using a marker however I want to smooth the procell a little by printing off these address labels.

I've had a look at packing partner and it does look useful however i don't want to spend YET - maybe in the future.

What process do people on here use for printing address labels?

Ideally i would like to have the invoice and address labels printed off in the same sheet IF POSSIBLE

Design a template in Word, then just cut and paste the address/product details, cut off address, stick to packet/parcel with wide clear tape. Been doing it that way for more years than I care to remember and many thousands of packets.

Sometimes the simplest ways are the best.

Hiya, You can actually do this in ebay through selling manager pro. If you don't have that you can subscribe to it in your 'my ebay'. I'm not sure if it costs anything (i think it might depend if you have a shop or not) but if you don't have it and are selling quite a lot it's worth getting as it's much easier to organise your transactions. We print off an invoice for each transaction that has both the address and return address on, its much easier than writing it all.

You can also use mailmerge in word.

This allows you to import a spreadsheet/database file.

Useful if you have a spreadsheet of your clients.

Labels, usually 4 up on an A4 label sheet? print 4 at once.

I use InDesign myself for this kind of work but I know that our place of work tend to use word for similar.

Just normal A4 Paper and then fold it up and have the address (and return address if you want) displayed, and then put it in one of those clear 'documents enclosed' envelopes which you can stick to the packet/box that you send it in. There are a few ways to do it though (ebay give you a few options). You can get the 'documents enclosed' wallets on ebay really cheap.
We usually do that and then use labels to print of our return address to stick on the back as well. We just to that on avery labels through word. You can make the template on your computer easily and then just bulk print a load of return address sheets in one go.

That's what I do for small eBay sales.

By the way.... why is the eBay print postage function so much better than the Royal Mail print postage function? eBay makes it really easy.

I thought ebay has this functionality as default? I;ve used it in the past. So does Paypal, i they pay by paypal. I think in your sold items screen, the drop down box at the end of each item gives you the option to print postage label...

too hassle. Get a dymo 400 label printer. you save the time and paper, getting the professional look

just managed to get a brother ql-500a for £24.99 from ryman. well happy with that deal.

 

Adhesive labels and new printers are expensive. I use the same method as silvermusic,

All my sales are recorded on excel; copy and paste paypal addess into excel page, print preview, make sure addresses all fit onto A4.

Print, scissors, selloptape. Cheap quick and easy.

Hey, I’ll appreciate to use sticky labels that can be printed on any ordinary inkjet or laser printer and give your correspondence a professional look. I’ve been using them for more than a year and I’m pretty happy. Even mail merge in word make it easier to import all the addresses and print them on sticky labels.

I've using AA Labels for quite some time now and have no complaints. Their prices are good and you can download free address labels templates both in MS Word and PDF from their site.

Check out our software. Google "Breeze Order Management System". Print eBay order addresses to Label Printers or A4 sheet of sticky labels. Many other templates available.

It's worth checking out it will save you a whole lot of time.

THere is also one called eSense....its JUST for EBay at the moment; it does all your stock management, print out your invoices, gives you a list of address so you can copy and paste and put on your QL Brother machine (we use it) along with your company image - very professional - about £16 quid or so for the basic one. I know that there is an ebay module where it sucks up all your ebay sales for the day, sort them out and automatically emails all your customers with their invoice and then of course lets you print them out if you want to (as well as the standard stuff) so you have records.

Told that they are working on an accounts module to go in with it too, depends I guess on how comprehensive that is.
