Prestashop to Opencart?

Hi,

We are currently using prestashop and have been for the last 8 years or so with most of them using version 1.4.4 which was great hardly any issues, but earlier this year we decided to update to 1.6.1.11 which from day one has been a nightmare with problem after problem...... So we have been looking at opencart to make a break from prestashop.

My question is would we be jumping from one problem to another? or does opencart have fewer issues than prestashop?

Any help appreciated.

We think OpenCart and Prestashop are both great platforms, but OpenCart is significantly simpler and easy to work with than Prestashop so it may well be the case that OpenCart will have less issues. We often do migrations from one platform to another so feel free to get in touch if you'd like a quick estimate, or if you have any further questions about how it would work - ask away!

Rightly said both are good but opencart is more stable, did you try to contact prestashop support to check if they can solve your issue?

OpenCart is significantly simpler and its extension architecture allows you to do more because it doesn't rely on having "hooks" in the right places.

So am I. Glad I know what BO (nothing to do with the body) and FO are as I was starting to think something new had happened to ecommerce software that I had not heard about or experienced.
