anyone a pro or can share advise and tips on pay per click? I have had teo ads and lots of clicks but no definite action taken. According my analytics my blog is up 1000% sooooo when does it start working? lol :D

clicks don't matter, conversions do.

if you're getting hundreds of hits a day, you need to look at what those people are doing on your website. For all you know, they could be experiencing technical difficulties with the page. Maybe your shopping cart has an error. Maybe they can't even find your shopping cart.

It's all about analysis of the data produced by Analytics.

why go down the route of ppc? i can get you on first page of google guaranteed on a fixed monthly amount. no strings, month by month agreement with analytical reports if requested.

Yes, look at things like Bounce Rate - do visitors leave straight away or go and visit other pages? you want to be aiming your bounce rate at 30% or less ideally.

Then look at the list of your most visited pages, look at the percentage to see what people are driven to most from your homepage or shop.

Most people will probably click on the first link, it will receive the highest number of visits unless you have something more attention grabbing for them to click on.

What is it you are aiming to do with the website? just drive traffic to the blog for people to read or are you trying to make money from the candles?

It took me a while to realise you even sold anything, i thought it was just a blog chat thingy.

yes selling and recruiting would be my goals. People have told me to "chat" and make it interesting.....so I tried but not sure if anyone cares! lol :D
I am going to work on changing the header a bit...more pix of the products. Do you have reccomendations? I truly appreciate all your advise.

keywords are easy to find ( searched keywords ) LINK THEM TO WEB PAGE AND HEY PRESTO,,,,,,,RESULTS IN NO TIME

*bangs head on desk*

so all i have to do is link lots of keywords to my website and i'll be top of google at the weekend ... sure thing!

i'll hand over my credit card details right this second! yeehar!

me thinks not ;)

Meta tags aren't much value these days. Stick them in if you fancy it, make them relevant to the page but the description tag and page title are more important. Describing and titling pages to show Google and other search engines what is on that page is important.

Remember Google can't SEE images, it can read ALT tags but it cannot see what the photo is, so text is king.

The website isn't really telling me what i have to do. I can read things but do you want the visitor to buy candles? buy a book? read the blog? or ... what?

Remember that each visitor to your website is fresh, they don't know who you are yet, or what you sell, so inform them and give them calls to action e.g. direct them to something that they want, hopefully this will be something that makes you money too if your business plan is right.

not sure what you mean....I cannot say what I sell? thanks for any advise

Sorry it's just my wacky English humour. There have been earlier threads on here about consultants and consultancy consultants and so on. I was suggesting you might attract humorous comments for calling yourself a consultant when in fact you sell scented... candle... thingies. Which are very nice.
