PayPal question - manually creating a recurring payment?

I'm building out a website and while I'm planning on fully integrating PayPal so that this is done automatically I want to just get users to fill in a form and then I manually charge them a monthly fee from PayPal.

Is this possible or would some other solution be better?

In simple terms: user fills in form on website -> form sends me an email -> manually create the monthly payment with PayPal -> user agrees to payment -> user pays -> I configure the service -> I give details of service to the customer.

As I said this will all be automated at a later date but I want to get up and running fast.

This would not be possible as PayPal requires the authorisation of the payer at the point of setup, so you could not do that yourself. Subscriptions also require that the payer have a PayPal account. You could however request the payer to create the PayPal subscription using a custom link that you sent them after they submit the form. They would then go to PayPal, authorise the subscription and you are good to go.

Agree with this. You set up the subscription button in your PayPal account and copy the code into the site.
