Payment gateways for Multivendor sites?

I am currently in the final stages of web design, but I need to find a multivendor gateway that wont cost the earth for a small volume (for now) site. I currently have a Stripe account and see they do Stripe connect which asks the vendors to sign up to receive payments through Stripe. I am happy to do this, however they mention £2 a month per active account but then they are saying the fee will be waived for the first 5000 active accounts a month.

To me it is as clear as mud and have asked for clarification from them. In the mean time, can anyone reccomend another service. I have read Braintree allows you £40,000 of payments before charging fees, but I can not find that info.

@Ralpac have you tried to message Braintree? however, i would have suggested stripe but you seems to be using them already.

What kind of products are you selling? If it is digital products, I can recommend you one great payment gateway. But if not, Stripe is already a good choice.
