Partnership with Pirelli

Hello, today while talking to my dad about another subject, I remembered again that my grandfather bought Pirelli stocks 60-70 years ago. My dad said it was a considerable amount for that time and Pirelli was sending them greeting cards all the time. He said a few days after my grandfather died, they sent a letter of condolence. Since my dad and his siblings were very young, they didnt really know what the situation was, they lost official documents about their partnership in years. I decided to pursue this, how do you think I should proceed to get our rights from Pirelli ? Thank you.

There's a bit of a difference between a Partnership and just holding some stock (shares) which is it

If your grandad held stocks/shares then presumably he would have had share certificates, so perhaps start by trying to track down any paperwork he left behind and a copy of his will/probate as proof of who inherited the shares? I believe wills/probate are held on public record (assuming he dies in the UK) but I have no idea how far back that goes. If your grandad had his will written by a solicitor then there may be a copy in their archives (perhaps with other paperwork) if the firm still exists.

Thank you, I have not had much opportunity to deal with this matter but today I sent them an email and in their reply I was instructed to contact Pirelli's securities center located in Milano to determine the status of my partnership and they gave a phone number.

I think "capital partnership" would be a more accurate definition. So my grandfather provided them with capital support during the establishment phase, in exchange for company shares.

I spoke with the Italian authorities of the company and they told me that they would conduct the necessary investigations and get back to me but no one has contacted me yet. I believe I will have to handle this through legal means with good lawyers. I dont have any time to deal with it right now but I will follow up on this matter.
