Ordering system similar to website for phone orders?

Hi all,

We are looking at getting a system which is similar to our website whereby you can keep up to date with customers by email (ie shipped, notes etc) for our telephone orders. This also keeps all customer records in one place so all agents can put them up and also we have better vision on them? I am therefore guessing a web based application?

This is in an effort to make a more efficent ordering process and cut down costs by using email as communication (along side our online tracking system).

If anyone could kindly advise of such a system that would be great.

Have you considered Linnworks? Its not exactly what you suggest but, IMO, its better and will keep your inventory balanced across a variety of platforms as well. Basically it will do what you want and far more.

Why not just put your phone orders through your website?

Most systems will have some way of inputting orders via the admin panel, or you can even use the normal checkout

Completely agree with edmondscommerce. We have a number of Magento sites where orders come from a mixture of online and phone. Phone sales are processed via Magento admin by telesales personnel and can be labelled accordingly.

If there is not a back end admin order process, put it through the front end!

Hi, what are you using at the mo? pen and paper?
Can you say what other software you're using behind the scenes.
Also, how you currently process and record a phone order from start to finish?

All of our clients use this software and it will allow you to place phone orders onto it directly and have the exact same records as you would for web orders, plus it does way more that could be useful to your business as well.
