For basic training and implementation has anyone considered Lynda.com or mindtools?

if so whats your views?

You can look at usefedora.com which allows you to build your own learning portal. Another one is schoolkeep. There are quite a few popping up now. I use udemy.com to create training videos but that isn't for internal use, thats to actually sell courses.

I tend to use a range of providers. If I want to know how to do something I use w3cschools, stackexchange, tizag and so on. Very often I need to look at more than one source to get the best soliution.

Lynda.com looks good. I think I could personally get my $25 bucks out of watching some of those training vids they have listed, in one months time.

Udemy.com is another site worth checking out. The prices are it bit steeper, but they offer more of a structured course with exams/ quizzes etc..
