New Recruitment agency needs your help!!!

Hi everyone!
I have been in the IT recruitment industry for 2 years developing new business and headhunting. I and a friend have decided to start our own agency after we were made redundant. \/
Picking up the phone and calling potential new clients makes lots of people nervous but we are both very comfortable with it. Being good on the phone is not enough when you’re running your own ship we need help on the legal jargon that comes with running a recruitment agency.

There is a legal forum for this I think. However, I expect someone will see this anyway. What sort of jargon have you come across? Are you looking to employ someone or just get some translation?

Try rec dot uk dot com - The Recruitment and Employment Confederation trade body site. They have lots of Legal Resources and business help guides on the site. It may even be worth looking at membership as a new start up. Good Luck

We have a bunch of information on our recruitment information site HireScores.com - including a recruitment agencies advice centre (this is the best page to start and includes information on setting up your new recruitment agency), but the knowledge centre has other articles. Also you can register and have a free profile and if you do not have a website yet we let you do extra customisation of the profile (also for free) just to help you out.

We also advise recruitment agencies and have reviewed terms for them and amended them to suit their requirements from the standard docs available via membership groups. Happy to help if you have any specific current questions.

Contact RITE, they are a part of the REC, they have all the relevant forms to start a business, also get yourself registered as an REC member and they have the standard forms for T & C's, Candidates, Temps etc.
