hi i am new to the idea of starting up a business, and i am currently looking for advice on how to get started with a business plan. where do i start ? help !!!

1. Go to businesslink website , or that of any bank, and ownload a businessplan template.

2. Start filling in boxes

3. Revisit approximately 3,000 times as you learn more.

A step by step guide to opening a pet shop:

1) Look on the Pets At Home web site
2) Find all their locations
3) Look for the only space in the UK that doesn't have one within 7 miles.
4) Open store and wait for the next one to be developed on your doorstep.

Seriously, I have worked in the pet trade for 16 years, albeit on the aquatics side. Pets At Home never fail to get a mention during sales calls. It's the bane of the independent pet shop.

hi yer i know about pets at home, i have run a reptile store for several years but i am looking at setting up my own store. pets at home are competetion but they do not specialise in anything, so they will not be able to compete directly.
