I am in the process of starting my business which is an online event search engine.
I was wondering if any accountants on here could give me a rough idea of what i would be able to claim back.

I have to pay for the following
-Web hosting (Monthly)
-Web design (once)
-graphic design software (monthly)
-Microsoft Office (Once)
-Sage (Monthly)
-Phones (Monthly)
-Insurance (Monthly)
-Stationary (as when needed)

I know i wont be able to claim all and everything but i was wondering where i can claw back some monthly expenditure.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Are the phones used solely for the business?

Everything to do with your business you can claim as an expense.

If you're using your phone then you can claim a percentage for personal/business use.

As far as I can see all the things you mention are claimable. You can either apportion the phone running cost between personal/business use or have one dedicated to the business and claim 100%.

I assume they mean claimable as expenses against profits, but that might be a bit of a leap on my part!
