Name needed any help appreciated

Heavily Discounted wedding dresses? have you done any test-trading because I managed to source some very beautiful wedding dresses at ridiculously low prices once and they were a nightmare to sell. I always wondered if I'd asked the rrp of £600 would they have sold much quicker rather than asking ~£100.
In the end I made about £10-£20 a dress!

I'd ignore the references to cheap. I would assume that uppermost in any brides mind will be looking perfect on her big day. If she can do that without a bank loan so much the better. It's been my experience with a wife and 2 daughters (and that makes me an expert) that women look for inspiration before they look for the dress they will buy. "Cheap Wedding Dresses" is not inspiring.
How about
"Beautiful Brides"
"Billion Dollar Brides"
"Heavenly Wedding"
"Bridal Bliss"
"Dress For The Day"
The tagline could be "dresses you can afford without needing a divorce"

If you wouldnt get in to trouble for use of the name I would have tried to have a name using Cinderella in it but as I said that might cause some issues.
If you hope to expand into prom dresses in the future it might be better to have a name that is more generic and not wedding specific.

If you can offer the same service as the high end bridal shops that would be fantastic and you could get custom that way. Im currently looking for a wedding dress and they are so cheap in america/china - Im thinking of just ordering one from there. I thought about this is an actual business, the outlay would be quite high but if you can match the service im sure brides would be happy to pay less for their dress.

Well if you read the entire thread you will see where the £20 came from - someone who has been there and done it. I do realise however that facts can get in the way of an uneducated point of view
£20 was suggested by another member not the OP, so as I said, where did you get £20 from with regard the OP?

I tried the on-line route and wasnt blown over by the quality. I have bought my dress from a shop and it will cost around £1,000. The dress is designed in the UK. The quality from overseas suppliers is very hit and miss and wonder where you will be getting your dresses from? - apologies if you have already mentioned this, but I have started typing....
I have a friend who started a business just like yours and it didnt do well. I think if you aim for high end customers with high end quality, you are more likely to do better. Most ladies want that extra special dress for their big day and are willing to pay a bit more for getting that quality, but that may mean your costs will get higher.

is going to be your shop i recommend to use your first and last initial followed by wedding dresses after all you do believe your names creditability.
eg R.W wedding dresses.

You might want to consider not having 'wedding dresses' in the title as it really limits you to just wedding dresses...you may want to branch out in the future to other types of dresses for special occasions or evening wear...also bridesmaid dresses etc.
Something like 'My favourite dress' (which is a song by the wedding present) perhaps.

No it was online only, the opportunity just came up so I bought them, expecting to be able tomove them on ebay, gumtree etc but it was a no-go. Took months and months to sell 6 dresses for a total profit of about £100.
edit: I just wanted to say that I didn't in any way mean to discredit the OP's idea, just wanted to be sure that she was happy with her medium for selling them as the way I tried (without a shop) didnt really work for me. For me it was just an opportunity to buy some end-of-line dresses that I thought I could make a quick buck on!
I think your Idea is a great one and as mentioned it would probably be best to steer clear of 'claiming' to be cheap, just be more competitive and word will get out very quickly, especially at wedding fairs etc where your customers can make direct comparisons.
Princess for the Day sounds perfect!

If you are using a price model, then web marketing is likely to be important right?
I run a few small businesses and found that naming a company is restricted heavily by the available web domains. Worth factoring this in to any name game... going play on these webname suggestion tools is helpful.

Dont think you should having anything to do with wedding dresses or cheap in the title. Why not something a bit more open and personal, like Ruth's Collection , Ruth's Boutique. I'm sure most ladies get recommended places by word of mouth so I dont think it needs to have keywords, especially if your selling in wedding events.
