my shop opens in 1 week today

my retail shop poshdogs&co opens in one week am so nervous am not sleeping ,i have ad,s running all week from monday on the radio also they are going to do my opening ,should i provide food at the opening or is just providing drinks enough

If you do nibblies remember to avoid nuts or anything containing nut traces. Its always better to be on the safe side.

Yeah, just include nuts, sarnies and crisps etc. Those cocktail sticks would probably do well.

You could put food out for the people as well

Hello Dawn, hope it all goes well, I have just helped my Fiance, set her shop up and it seems to be pretty much the same as yours

She is going online and a small retail outlet at first, with an aim of Bluewater Shopping cemtre within 7 months

Furry Fashions will supply "bling" and the more outrageous stuff for pets and horses. (clothing, collars etc...)

If you wanna chat to her, I'm sure she would be happy to exchange experiences

I agree with the peeps here, nibbly bits would be good for your guests.

If you are having guests bring their pampered pooches along it may also be a nice touch to have some doggie treats for them.

I'm going to buck the trend and suggest something different. It's going to be difficult to predict how many people will show; there may be more or fewer people than you expect. I'd suggest offering something packaged rather than something prepared. You can always go home with extra bags of crisps and bottles of soda, but you'd have to throw sarnies away.

I know I have "short arms and deep pockets" but, in startup mode, I'm always watching my expenses.

Tatton Park here is full of dogs and dog owners, maybe you could hand out some leaflets or something one day, discreetly of course, it is National Trust after all! You gonna put leaflets in vets?
