MTD WITH KASHFLOW SOFTWARE - Anyone had issues?

KASHFLOW Accounts software and MTD
Has anyone had issues with getting Kashflow set up for MTD self assessment?
If so, what issues did you have and how did you resolve this?
Kashflow's help has been useless and they've now said it must be HMRC's problem, so they can't help any more...

What exactly are the issues? I dont use Kashflow but it may be a common issue myself or someone else on the forum can help with.

Nicola, thanks for commenting...
The software connects to HMRC, but the software is saying there's no business with my National Insurance Number - the number is 100% correct. As such, the software doesn't pick up my Business ID etc...

Kashflow claim it s HMRC's fault. HMRC are saying that the correct Government Gateway ID has been registered for MTD for self assessment. I've been at this for months and getting nowhere...

Have you tried removing Kashflows permission and then re-authorising it?

Another thought I'd go back to HMRC and ask them to confirm your NI number and self employment income source is linked to your MTD record. I did a bit of digging and found this (see Onboarding)

forgot Kashflow was part of Keytime software which is turn was acquired by IRIS Group.

When I had issues with IRIS linking up for MTD they just logged into my machine and sorted the issue after I complained about their poor customer support compared to the old Keytime support line.

Nicola, thanks - that's interesting reading...

I've tried what you suggested - several times. There's no actual way in the software to disconnect from HMRC, other than for VAT - VAT quarterly submissions have worked from day one, but they use a different Government Gateway ID. HMRC assures me that the correct Gateway ID (for my self assessment) has been signed up for MTD. Help varies, depending on who you get to speak to - and, as you know, takes ages to get thru to someone in the first place, but I will attempt to find the time to call them again today...

Good luck! Please let us know how you get on.

Long shot, but someone on the Sage forum had this exact error and it turned out MTD signup hadn't actually put the business on his MTD record. He added it manually in the HMRC account and the software picked it up straight away.
Interesting... not sure how I can add that manually, though... When I log onto HMRC, with the Gateway ID for self assessment, it tells me I am already signed up.

Thanks for the info - I can, at least, mention this to the HMRC advisor...
