We're getting a lot of feedback from shop owners either doing spectacularly well for a February, or really struggling compared to previous years.

The lack of money in circulation appears to be polarising the on-line markets. Is anyone else experiencing a surprising up-turn this month??

All in all we are having a good feb i think.

We actually have 4 different websites, 1 has grown every month for the past 2 years, one has grown overall with the odd dip but a good feb and the other 2 are fairly stable.

I think March will be when sales start to climb again but never really can tell.

The 1st two weeks in jan were very bad for us, but then two days in the second half of jan we had a record number of transactions which is probably the strangest month weve had online.

A lot of the growth in the second half was due to a reaction of being slow at the start and has set up us for a decent Feb.

We had a strangely subdued early January as well, very different to previous years but Feb has been incredible... could even beat December's figures if it holds up the volume of sales

Mind you this protracted cold has affected the jetski business, normaly we have quite a few hardy souls who ski throughout the winter, but this years been a tad to cold for there steamer suits.:)

I have given up trying to predict anything! Jan was odd, put it down to the weather, the snow meant the shop was very quiet but online orders were busier than usual.then the snow melted and the shop went crazy!
Feb has been very busy, today was one of our busiest this year so far.
Usually in half term, we are not really that busy in the actual shop, but this time we have been busier than usual.
Next week will be one of busiest weeks thanks to world book day too with last minute orders and mums panic buying in the shop!
All in all a very good start to the year.

We run 3 different sites (2 retail and 1 corporate). Both retail sites have been very slow in January/Feb. December was as expected but 2010 just does not seem to have got going at all ;-(

Just be grateful you're not stuck in a high street somewhere. I thought Barnsley was bad, came to light a few days ago that Wolverhampton (near where I live) has the highest percentage of vacant retail premises IN THE UK!!

Worse even than Middlesboro and Hull

The snow over the weekend just keep having a negative effect. One of our businesses sells TV brackets but with less people venturing out in the snow to buy TV's there is less demand for TV brackets.....fed up with it all now!

First week of January was quite good, because many houses/flats being robbed on New Years night while people are far away drinking champagne and firing fireworks :D

January was great, Feb has been good but half term week has seen a massive drop week on week. The drop is in line with the one last year though so we're not bothered:)
