Mary Portas

Calm down.
Now look, I don't mean to come across as a troll, but this thread really isn't the place for your embarrassing tantrum. There's no point in trying to shout me down with the "no, you!" technique. If you'd like to discuss the specifics of your post, then by all means drop me a PM and we can hash it out there, but let's leave the advice offered in this thread as is and not muddy the issue any further. :)

Wish you would both take this rubbish to PM, doesn't make any of you look very clever.

On the odd occasions I'm in the showrooms and prospective customers walk in, I never say a word for at least five minutes unless they approach me and then I say "need any help or are you happy as you are"; I never say another word but can guarantee you that even those who say "no just looking" will strike up a conversation asking about specification or price within a few minutes.
I like to treat people how I like to be treated myself; the minute anybody starts trying to sell me anything or push me to look at something I walk out.
Anybody greeting me at the front door would make me run a mile.
