Hi!

I'm a consultant for a party plan company that is just starting in the UK at the ground level. The company started in the US where it has grown enormously over the last 6 years. I am looking for any help, tips, or pointers anyone can offer me on how to find possible recruits in the UK. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread!
Nicole :)

It is also worth joining a few forums/messageboards and put the offer out this way. I understand that homeworking.co.uk and homeworkinguk.co.uk are both very popular and there are always people on there seeking real opportunities, such as yours.

Good Luck

Ask them how they grew from zero in the USA.

Iwould second that - if it is really that popular in USA - ask them how they have grown. actually, they should tell you that at the very beginning. Help with marketing should be part of your package. If it is a good, established company, they should also supply you a mentor, person you can ask this exact question.

Hi, I think there are quite a few things that you can do to grow sales. I think word of mouth will be a key marketing tool for you. Get referrals from all clients for friends and relations who are having parties, hand out flyers at all parties to guests or encourage them to tell you about the parties they are having, get the DOB so you can market to them in the future.

PR
Contact your local papers and try and build a relationship with the editor, send stories and good photos of events you are running.

Forums
Post on all the relevant forums of your target market

Social media
Ensure you are using Facebook, Twitter etc.

SEO
Get your website to the top of relevant searches in search engines

PPC
Pay for advertising on search engines if you aren't getting many leads

Hi There,

Another option is the social networking route.

Twitter, facebook and the hurdreds of others out there - free but may take a bit of time setting up.

Have you spoken to your US company to find how they grew?

Regards,

When you say recruits do you mean sales agents or actual (potential) employees?

The party plan model worked well in the 1970s when life was tough for most families. It seems you could have a similar opportunity today. My recollection is that word of mouth and party based recruitment were key.

search blogger, I wanted to tell you I read your page and that is what prompted me to post about my business on another page in this forum. It was helpful and I thank you ;)
