Market Research on Moroccan Goods

Hi,

My partner and I have some very reliable business links in Morocco and are currently researching importing Moroccan goods into the UK. It would mainly be jewellery, ornaments and clothing in bulk for sale to uk shops.

We are trying to assess the level of demand for that sort of thing here in the uk. I would be keen to here from anyone with any experience of this or anyone who would be interested in stocking Moroccan goods.

I have visited Morocco many times and feel there is a demand for these products however it would be wise to choose your market in the UK carefully. Moroccan clothing may not work well in bulk as there is less demand for it but it can work well depending on where in the UK it is distributed to and the pricing of the product. It can work for high end quality products in locations where people have more flexible income but in locations where they do not it may prove to be more costly to bring the goods into the UK considering tax and import expenses to break even. Would you be more specific as to your target group you wish to distribute to or target bulk buyers as well as the quality of goods. I may be able to provide more information based on that to see where in the UK there is a high demand or trend to the goods.
