Making tax Digital - Not Connecting Quickbooks

Last quarter I signed up with MTD so the first return should be at the end of April

I use quickbooks - so fully compatable
Just logged into my quickbooks account and turned on MTD to start the process, logged in through HMRC to authorise etc.

Quickbooks is now giving me this error

We can't connect to HMRC
Make sure you’re signed up for Making Tax Digital with HMRC.

  • If not, sign up with HMRC now to start submitting VAT returns for MTD
  • If you’ve already signed up for MTD in the last few days, you must wait for email confirmation from HMRC
  • If you don’t want to submit VAT returns for MTD, you should disable MTD in QuickBooks


Logged into HMRC who confirm I'm signed up for MTD and can no longer submit online returns via website

Anyone else having problems?
 
Here at Byre Towers, we have seen HMRC's MTD website falter and stumble - so nothing new there! We couldn't get on their site last week and their SW did not respond. On Monday it was working again!

My guess is that it's them and not QB or you!
