Hello good looking people
I have an retail store ( LTD ) and use part of me house for day to day paperwork etc...
how do I go about my council tax ? As I was paying up to this moment but I have just found out that I can get small business relief ?
How it will effect my sale of house ?
I may achieve £100k on sale but I have spent £60k on it

thanks

No, I’m about to renew my insurance
It’s just admin work
Why would council be pissed off when it’s legit ?

If you're talking a residential property, the council are not going to give you relief under the small business regime.

Small business rate relief is only given to businesses who pay Business Rates (not Council tax)

When you run a business from home you don't generally pay Business Rates if you just use part of your house some of the time for admin purposes.

Not 'pissed off' at all they'd probably like to collect Business Rates from you if they can

Doing admin in your house, no one is going to care.
Telling the council you use a part of your house for business use and can you have some relief on business rates opens a can of worms.
