Hi

I am looking to run a facebook campaign and want to hire someone to do this for me.

Any recommendations?

Hi,

I know you are looking for recommendations of companies, but just thought I'd mention that we (I-COM) specialise in social media marketing, so if you're looking for someone to help you with a Facebook campaign, give us a call on 0161 402 3170.

We were recently nominated for two awards at Some Comms 2011: "Best use of social media by a private sector organisation" & "Social media on a shoestring

If you have a look at our website: www(dot)I-COM(dot)net you will see more information about us and the work we do.

Hi, before you go too far down the road, be clear about your objectives and measures of success so you can hopefully judge 1/ is a Facebook campaign the best channel for my objective and 2/ is the person I employ doing a good job.

Good luck!

Are you absolutely 100% sure that Facebook is the right medium for your marketing? And for your objectives.

It can be extremely cheap and effective - but you have to remember as well that most people don't really go on to Facebook to shop, as such. They go on to chill out, catch up with friends, be social.

It is very rare that I recommend ad campaigns solely leading to external websites or sales pages, because there is a low click through rate, and the leads are more speculative than targeted usually.

But then again, with the right campaign, the right targeting and the right product, it can definitely work. And like mcgovern said, it is easy if your target is local to you.

Sorry that sidetracked from your original question and request, but I've worked with a few too many businesses who have dived in or hire an 'expert' to basically do the admin of setting up the campaign and charge a lot for it without giving any thought to whether or not it is the right approach and whether or not the campaign is right.

Hope that helps. Facebook and social media in general is still a relatively new medium in advertising, and unsurprisingly, plenty of people taking advantage of the inexperienced.
