Looking for a startup!

I have a business training pack that would suit anyone looking to develop their business marketing. I've worked through it and now I need the floor space.

Any reasonable offer accepted but with 6 large ring binders and a set of DVDs it's far too large to post so it would need to deliver or arrange collection from someone in Birmingham/Midlands area.

Get in touch if interested and I can send more details and discuss further.

Sorry to sound negative but I am not sure you will have a good uptake of this

Ring binders and DVDs suggest this is quite a dated pack - how relevant is it in todays marketing activities? All learning and training has moved online with interactive videos and streaming. Like yourself, people will not want this taking up their floor space

Also, what business sector is it aimed at? There is no one guide fits all businesses

Probably the wrong place to make this offer. Most startups coming here have already begun their marketing journey.

In any case, can’t remember the last time I saw a device with a DVD player. Most people use a laptop or tablet or their phone to stream content.

Thanks for the feedback - I take on board that this might not be ideal community but as for format and age, I don't agree with all the comments.
I have a number of business books that I use and that are still relevant today. One "Flawless Consulting" is full of useful content that goes back to the 70s. Dale Carnegie's and Napolean Hill's are classic books still cited as great sources that were first published in the 30's!
The ones I am trying to move on are less than 10 years old.

Books are great I agree. But 6 folders and a bunch of DVDs aren’t the same.

You still haven’t told us what sort of training the pack contains. Is it for example how to utilise social media or rank a website or set up a ppc campaign?

It's called the Six Pack and was produced for the Entrepreneurs Circle (I used to be a member).
The six folders are 1) Making the most of your 90 minutes 2) Writing Really good Marketing Material that works 3) Your vital signs 4) Getting Customers 5) Keeping customers 6) Newsletters.

It is now out of print and I cannot find a link to it but if the forums rules allow I can post a photo so that you can get an idea of the size of the thing.

I still use Windows XP professional and I have a DVD drive which is not to be sniffed at and I would agree that the Dale Carnegie book How to Win friends and influence people is still a best seller.

But I'm going to pass up on your offer and wish you good luck in selling the six pack.

I went from not interested to actively anti at Entrepreneurs Circle.

Mind you, there are still people who buy into that stuff.

However, returning to practicalities, it's a bulky and impractical format - the interested partly is likely to be someone who is near to you - so again, local business communities will be better than a national forum

The EC is not for everyone and I appreciate that the owner's style really rubs some folk up. However, during my time with them, I picked up some excellent advice. There are some excellent nuggets in the 6 pack which considering it cost over £700 there should be.

I think you are right in terms of selling the pack - it's going to appeal more to business owners that are local to me,

I was a member of EC for a year and it was pretty good to be honest, lots of valuable business and marketing advice at the sessions and good networking too. I didn't renew after a year though because I didn't have the time - too busy working to attend!

Hiya - let's keep to the matter in hand i.e. the training materials.

If you want to talk about EC, please start a separate thread.

How on Earth can you talk about these training materials without talking about the EC? ?‍♂️

    Paul.

A good business owner will be able to take suggested strategies, select and apply them appropriately using their own values. I often disagree with lots of authors but that doesn't mean I don't find their writing extremely useful.
I found the marketing 6 pack readable, easy to understand and very useful. I don't regret paying a considerable sum for it.*
I'd also recommend "Botty's Rules" an excellent business book, similar in style to Balantyne's "43 mistakes..." and "37 questions...." It is near the top of my recommended books for business owners. At the top is Tony Bezan's "Mind Maps for Business".

    * Still available BTW. :)

Certainly is, I've read it a couple of times, and one of my managers has read it. It's on our bookshelf in the office now. Highly recommended.

If you're serious about selling these training materials you should list more about what they contain, perhaps list the contents pages etc.?

I've tried to summarise each section of the pack by taking the main headings and listing them below. I can't say I've picked up all every element of the training materials but hopefully, this will give you a flavour of what's in it. Ideally, it would be best to take a look at each of the folders in the pack to see if it contains the content you are looking for and suits your needs.

BTW - I tried to post an image but this forum said that this is not allowed?
