Leaflet Drop Home/office removals

I have recently set up a home/office removals company and general van services. I have had a website created and have had 5000 leaflets printed along with 200 business cards.
Firstly I am new to running my own business so any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Where would be best to do a leaflet drop and hand out my business cards. Also I am having trouble with material for my blog on my website.

You are working back to front. How did you know what to put on the leaflet if you didn't know what you were going to use them for? Did you have a copywriter work on the leaflet?

Your target audience consists of people and businesses that will move. Possibly you could co-operate with real estate companies, that can provide you with details about clients that will move. For this service, they will of course demand a fair share of every sale.

Moreover, you should work with your online presence. You should list your business in online directories where you add information about your business name, address and phone number. This will then be visible to potential customers who search for the services that you offer.

Regarding the 5000 leaflets you should spread them in different areas as they will increase the
brand awareness. Also, make sure that your vehicle is branded with your logotype and business name.

Agree this is done in the wrong way, but since they are printed, consider estate agents, storage companies etc, but the best method is via the web. I used to do the same thing several years ago, there are hundreds of free websites to list details, add Facebook, twitter, and eBay to get faster results.

You have written that you have some trouble in getting material for the blog on your website. Maybe you could look at look at some blogs in the industry you are in and find some inspiration.
