Laser Eye Treatment

Hello
im thinking about having laser eye treatment,
will give me a nice debt of £2500.00 but if i can see
correctly i dont care. Has anyone had it done?

I havent had it done as i have perfecto vision!

A family friend had this done and thinks it's marvellous! I have worn glasses for 5 years now (1 yr all day long!!!) but would be a bit dubious about it - not sure I could cope with someone messing with my eyes - too much fear of what if...

Anyway, the friend mentioned that they told her although they could do the treatment, it wouldn't stop her losing her sight as she gets older (due to old age).

She used to be blind as a bat and can now see clearly

If you have looked at Ultralase site then sign up and ask for details......then just wait for a while. They will after a few months, start sending you various offers such as interest free, or pay in months time etc then take the offer that you want

well i did ask for info from them about 6 months ago thats what has made me start to think about having the treatment. I don't think they will give it to me now i have been reading, looking at the advice my eyes can still change so they won't do it. But they do send me 3 letters a week i must admit. Looking at that eBay link im not sure looks and sounds great, but when they want your cash it always does. What do you think?

my neighbour had it done and to be honest he has had no problems.

To be honest as well Jay, i am only a perscription away from wearing bottle tops myself. Even Speacsavers will not be able to help me there!, plus they stand in the way of my backup career move, joining the police.
so yes i to am seriously considering having it done.

It would be nice as i have been a specacle wearer all my life

I know many people who have had this done. Almost all of them are delighted. One person, for example, can see the alarm clock now when she wakes up. Others have been able to take up sports that they had to avoid.

A word of caution, though. One of my friends had surgery done in the early days. They messed up one of his eyes, and he's had problems with it ever since. Eyes are not something to mess with, so you really must have confidence in the doctor performing the procedure.

As for me, I can't really justify the cost. I'd love to have it done at some point.

I'm sure it works for most people BUT... think carefully about the %'s involved...

Our local contact lens specialist says it works for most people but he earns thousands from the laser clinics by supplying special lenses for customers who have had the surgery and it's gone wrong. :?

there are a number of things to consider

There are also the contact lenses don;t forget that you wear overnight and they reshape ur eye. Its not permanent either but u will not need glasses for the day.

The laser treatment as i rule i would not bother. But i do know that i would feel self conscious with bottle tops for glasses. I have no problem wearing glasses, after over 20 years in them i an kind of used to them.
But as i even advised my wife, if i have the choice of laser treatment or bottletops, i think i will go for the laser treatment.
Also as i said i am considering a career in the police force possibly in a few years. so then it probably have to be done i think

you could fly to Estonia, get the laser treatment, fly back and save yourself about £1000 (including flights !!!)
