Hi Jayne, thanks ever so much you'll be glad to know you're now on my christmas card list :-) Is your hubby a mamby pamby then, must be if he shops :-) I'd really like to know if he uses buses or if he ever wanders along the pavement from time to time looking for elephants

My hubby is all man, but sometimes sees elephants, depending on the amount of beer he consumes

She has to take a rucksack and some huskies with her everytime she pops out

I go away for a few mins to finish my VAT return and when I get back i discover you are all joking about our Highlands ways !! Occchhhhhh...

So, our office is in a small town and I have a house there too so no huskies needed to go to the shops. Well there are only the essential shops :

1 Off licence
1 Somerfields
1 Chemist
1 Shoe shop
2 Bakers
2 Newspaper Shops
1 Cafe
1 Florist
1 Chinese Restaurant
2 Chinese Takeaways
2 Chip Shops
1 Petrol Station

Inverness is only 30mins in the car so not too bad when you cant find what you want in any of the above - which only happens about EVERYDAY !!

As I once told her, if I get home late and drunk I get moaned at, if I get home very late and very drunk I get moaned at. The only difference is that if I am very drunk I care less :D :D

Wow, Rob.

If there were to be a next time (which I severely doubt due to having 2 businesses and a family) I would be happy to take a 1 way ticket to most places and land with no money and prosper. I like this level of challenge :)

I would not get another wife though - Mrs Matrixx might object :)

I left home (my parents) to live on my own for the first time, only I did it by buying a one-way ticket to Melbourne and going on my own with £500. Didn't know anyone there either. Stayed for a year and came back because of my visa. Whilst there amongst other jobs, I worked on Thursday Island (not recommended at all!) and sold art pretending I'd painted it (not my ideal job, but I couldn't eat pasta and brown sauce any longer!!!)

I went on holiday to Cuba and came back with a husband (huge error), must have been rum.

I have now settled down to a happy marriage (2nd), family and a business. Hopefully having curbed my silliness!! lol

In my 'younger' years I regularily used to buy 2 doner kebabs on the way home from the pub, eat one and sleep curled up to the other so it was still nice and warm in the morning for breakfast :)

Rob

Awww, that's nasty. And I bet you're not even joking!

Yeuck!!!!! I wasn't that bad. I had been out drinking and bought 2 pies to eat, i didn't like them so i smashed them on my head, walked home and went to bed... took me ages to clean up the mess in the morning though
