Increase Facebook Likes

Anyone know of any great ways of increasing Facebook Likes naturally?? I don't want tons of fake accounts or bots liking me.

I used this site - exchangeones.com but it seems very new and needs more users.

Not heard of this site before. How long have you been using this for? How many Likes are you trying to gain? To be honest it take some time to get a decent number of natural Facebook Likes.

The typical suggestions would be to: offer that you Like someone elses page if they Like yours, offer something small for free on your Facebook page but for someone to be able to get that item they must like your page first. I'm not sure how feasible the 2nd one is but you see many big companies who do this.

I'm sure that they're other options just none come to mind at present.

Thanks so much for your help.

It looks pretty new, and I who is(ed) the site and it is new. So they have limited amount of users, but its free and works pretty well to be honest.

I think I will offer something free on page and see if that attracts more people, the business itself is new but working well (

Thanks again, big help

Yeah, a few simple steps by posting your like button in most commonly used places will better your chances, doing promotions on your facebook page will attract new likes. Just keep at it, it's a long process :)

I agree with Health Uk, get a like button on your website. I might also add to put it on your blog if you have one.

Use other accounts of social media to promote your page; Twitter for example: you can tweet your FB page, or simply add it to your description.

Another thing would be to add the link of the page to your mail signature. Each time you send an e-mail to your partners or clients or any other person, they will be able to see it, click on it and maybe like it:) Facebook offers customized urls for pages - make sure you get one (www.facebook.com/YourPage instead of www.facebook.com/YourPage239hnbkjuh82349inoo6576544890)

You can also use Facebook ads. It's not for free, but this method turned out to be a very quick way of getting many likes in a short period of time for my page.

Hope that helps!

All you need is a like button on your website and leave the rest to your visitors (don't forget to make your pages interesting so people are actually interested in your content)

Not quite this easy:) but nearly. Give them good quality content then part of the way through the content on your blog, put the like button, to proceed they have a choice  no like, no more content. If they like, they see the rest of the content and post goes to their friends wall etc pulls in a nice image, you get more exposure and on it goes virally. Friends like to know what friends are doing and it's at no cost.

We where involved in the development of the TalkTalk XFactor Win Tickets Facebook App ... 28,831 likes so far :) and it's been running for about 25 days now.

http://www.facebook.com/TalkTalkXFactor?sk=app_214528341930148

If you give them something worth Liking they will Like it ...

Needless to say, the app does not stand on it's own. There's a lot of promotion behind it but the key remains providing content worth liking.

i think Facebook rules state you cannot run competitions in return for Likes. It is not the purpose of Facebook and it is not seen as 'Social'

so check the terms and conditions first as I've received emails before stating it is no longer permitted.

Gaining ‘likes’ on Facebook all depends on how much time you’re willing to give to the social media marketing side of your company. If the content of your Facebook page is uninformative, uninteresting and bland then people much less inclined to want to follow your updates or visit the page itself.

Try to use a range of content; it doesn’t even have to be directly linked to your company, for example if you are an online claims business many people will think all you can update on is the latest law updates. However thinking outside the box you can make your content both entertaining and relatable, like posting videos directly from YouTube of ‘stunts gone wrong’ which could of ended up in a personal injury claim!

Once you have a plan of the sort of content to release to your public, it’s time to actually find and attract targeted traffic. A great one already mentioned is the free give away by simply liking your page; regular competitions should encourage many more to follow.

Try searching through competitors followers and seeing the sort of people who ‘like’ them, what are your competitors doing to encourage a strong fan base?

It’s also a good idea to use other platforms to advertise a social site which isn’t achieving the same number. If you have a Twitter or LinkedIn account use them to advertise your Facebook account!

Hope this helps, Lucia I-Com

Their are loads of ways of promoting a fanpage:

1/ Include your Facebook page url in your web social profiles e.g. Youtube, Twitter, Linkedin etc. and also include in your email signature

2/ Also try and use facebook badge or “like” button everywhere your brand/business is present on the web: website, Blog posts etc.

3/ Use Facebook applications that quickly increase the engagement and reach of your facebook pages. - The Best Facebook Page Apps For Businesses | Like This Fan Page

4/ You could also invite your friends or your social profile contacts e.g Linkedin.com to the page.

5/ Create a custom reveal landing page, by creating a custom reveal landing tab for your facebook page you can increase the conversion of visitors to fans by giving a free gift, discount etc to encourage people to like your page. - How to create a Facebook reveal page

6/ Run fans only contests using Facebook apps from Northsocial.com

7/ You could also try Facebook advertising

Hi guys just follow more friends and make huge number of friends. Through this process you can increase your face-book linking. Nevertheless you can also use the website what you have shared. NO matter it is new no old. The matter is how may user use this website.

BeMoreSocial

It takes time to build an organic core of potential customers on Facebook or any other social media platform. A lot of people don't have the time or desire to embrace social media as they should which ends up ultimately with large amounts of money being spent. Don't see your customers as pound signs, treat them as they should be being treated and valued and they will spread the word. It takes time and the know how hence why people charge large amounts of money and take advantage of peoples naivety. (Not all, there are some good folk out there).:)

Hi Stuie,

If your business has a website I would suggest instead of spending time getting 'Likes' on Facebook you would be better off trying to get potential customers to go to your website.

I know every man and his dog 'has' to be on Facebook, but Facebook is about been social and not been sold to.

If you have something unique and of interest and word gets out the 'Likes' will come.

If you don't then you'd be better of targeting potential customers and getting them to your website in order to try and get conversions.

Hope this helps.

Dave.

Engage with your target market/audience, give them what they want and your following across social media will grow naturally. It really is as simple as that.

There are alternatives such as develop custom apps/features and launch sweepstakes, giveaways and competitions which all implement an encouragement/requirement of sharing with friends on Facebook and increase your likes virally within a ridiculously short space of time with the right idea. We for one, don't run any projects like this for under £4k - £5k though so really depends if you're looking to throw budget into this or not.

Add facebook page section in your website. create more and more profiles in many social networking sites and add your facebook page url in all social media profiles.
Also daily update required in your facebook page.

Do some work on facebook page presentation use fbml page in your facebook page profile.

In your mail signature add ur facebook page url

Hi Stuie,

Do not use <fbml> as Facebook are depreciating it -

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fbml/

You should use iFrames in your custom Facebook pages.

Some great ideas are being offered here, competitions are always great, however be careful not to go against FB promotions guidelines, simply type it in to Google and you can see what they are.

There was a reply i read which mentioned liking the page or status to enter the comp. Unfortunately this goes against the guidelines as you cannot use FB's like feature as a form of entry, nor can you announce the winner of your wall. Read the guidelines to ensure you do not go against this.

We've launched a number of competitions for online fashion retailers and restaurants and soon to be doing more in Jan. Just a few pointers

1) launch a comp but do not go against FB policy- V important

2) You ideally want data capture on your Comp which can be done via a form implemented through an iframe ( either custom built or through apps like Tabpress or Myapp) for the service provided by jotforms for quick form creation

3) You want to 'fan gate' the page i.e prior the entering the comp the user must like the page

5) set the comp as your DEFAULT PAGE

4) ensure and end date and start date - sounds straight forward but people forget

5) Promotion promotion promotion - offline synergy is just as important as online( we have a number of ideas to include this in our comps)

6) If you want quick traffic - blog >> submit to a number of social bookmarking sites and user anchor text to link back to your FB page

7) Get your blog post ranked depicting your competition>> use Google keyword tool to search for key terms describing elements of your business which do not have many searches a month. If 170 or so searches are being made in the UK for the term website PR for example. Although its not a lot of traffic every little helps

search the keyword in Google, do not worry about how many search terms it beings back, rather look at the title tags in Google's search results. Is it really that popular? I wrote a post on 'Website PR' a week ago, its now on the top of page two in the SERP. I could perhaps rank it on the first page but i'm spending my time try writing quality articles and produce content.

Hope this helps : )
