Importing Quads, Mini Bikes and Pit Bikes from china.

Hello I'm new here

I'm about to start trading with a company from china and would like some information I found there company on Alibaba they have been a gold member for over 7 years. All there pictures look very professional with all there logos on (but I know is not hard to save and re-upload)

I have Googled there company name and could not find any bad things said about there company and cross refferanced all the information on some of the websites it all adds up.

Would just like some information and direction in case I have missed anything.

Also I have never imported to the UK in this size before I will be needing a container. I think my nearest port is Liverpool being from Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

What would shipping cost on a 25ft container, Would it be possible for me to collect the goods myself?

Update* They offered FOB and payment type is T/T.

Why not try a sample order first before start container?
BTW, it is normal quote FOB and require T/T payment. But you can ask them to quote CIF to check freight cost if possible.

When they quote for delivery to port they are more likely to be talking Shanghai than Liverpool!

Their price is for getting the container to a Chinese port, it is up to you to arrange transport from there to the UK and from whichever UK port it arrives at to your address.

You need to get quotes here for freight charges.

I seem to remember other threads about quad bike imports so you might want to do a search.

I have just asked for a CIF quote they said around 100USD This cant be correct?

Hi, they say seen as though my order is only 20pcs sample order the shipping cost will be $100 LCL mixed with other goods to the UK. Delivery time is 30 days, ship time is about 28 days. With samples they want a 100% deposit is that normal?

where you find the company and what is the unit price?you mean you order all 20 mini bike?or just for sample?what is the USD100,freight or value of goods?

For 20pcs, 100usd/pc x 20pcs + 100usd (shipping cost) = 2100usd

i am not sure which kinds of bike you are buying,so i am not sure with your price.regarding freight,because your products are not enough for a 20'fcl,they will delivery to you by LCL.generally,you do not need to pay freight to them,but you have to pay cost at port of discharge.you could ask them this part of costs,sometime ,it is high.

To be perfectly honest, that price for 20 bikes seems too cheap, usually they are around $300 each x 20=$6000! Just be careful, ask them if they have UK customers and get a contact number for them and contact them.

The shipping cost will be from their factory to Asian port only for $100, I import and export and find sea freight far cheaper but cost me around $680 for LCL around 20" container size. Then you have VAT and import duty when they arrive in the UK.

That freight charge provided I suspect is if shipped under CIF terms which will cause you to have high charges in the UK once it arrives. Best to get an FOB price, if you want a price for shipping we can assist. Please email me on [email protected]

Hello the bikes im sampling are Mini Motos selling for around £150 each in the UK so at £62 each seems OK.

I have heard that on samples you don't have to pay import tax?

Please advise me what forwarder does as I am new to ordering on this quantity.
