Company name change and PVA accounting imports.

Planning on a limited company name change to match new trading name so hoping to do the companies house and HMRC name change over the break for Christmas/new year.

Unfortunately will still be receiving some imports over this period and so concerned about doing the company name change for regards with PVA accounting on imports with EORI etc.

Does anyone have experience with this? Would our imports still make it to us ok? There would be no way to alter the company name on shipments already on the way to us.

Any experience with this is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi if it’s just a name change and not a change of company it shouldn’t make any difference. It’s the company that’s registered not the name. You may find you need to do separate notification's of the name change for your VAT and EORI numbers .
