Have a quick search - I did a post a couple weeks ago with recent pricing and clearance costs.

These were average and better are available.

As it is late in the season, the prices should start coming down soon, fingers crossed.

Rates from China to the UK for containers change on a WEEKLY basis.
After going up continuously for the last year or so the prices are beginning to level off and even fall a bit now. Prices will also vary depending on the weight of the container and port of loading.

If you need a quotation for a specific shipment, you are welcome to send me a PM.

Best regards,
Glen

I have got my costs down to £3000 for 40ft high cube.

Anyone doing better than that?

Is that £3k inclusive of clearance at both ends, shipping and logistics to your place in the uk?

Contact Webwarehouse - we can do for cheaper than 3k. Will need specific information though. Collection port, delivery port, vakue of goods etc etc.

Daylight robbery, $2600 US CIF for 40' High Cube, $1450 US CIF 20' Standard + UK Clearance / Handling / Onward £300 plus Mileage, Duty and VAT not considered... Pay the charges in China and not to a UK agent. Where you coming from Ningbo, Shenzhen or Guangzhou Port. I would also suggest using an inspection agent if you will not be present shipside if the goods are of any value.

You'll pay more this week than any other as all the Christmas stock is either on the way or loading up.

Hi Naughty Vend, when you say pay the charges in China, what charges are you referring to? I use an agent in the UK who subsequently use their guys over in China. They deal with the Chinese customs and my UK guys deal with everything from this end.

ningbo port!

So once the goods land in felixstowe I should arrange for a company to clear them this end and sort out the loading and trucking fee?

will that be the chinese shipping agent who will look after the cif paper work?

I thought they was only responsible to getting it to my port?
