Import Laws/Taxes

hey all,
i'm in the start up phase of my business which is a web based retail business and involves selling product manufactured outside the u.k, in pakistan to be specific.

where can i find a good source of info about import laws and taxes; and also tips or ''in between the lines''. this my my first post here so feel free to impress!!!

Check with a customs broker. They should be able to inform you of all laws, duties and answer any questions you may have. good luck!

It might help if you also specified the nature of the product as different law applies to different stock. You might also go to see your local Business Link as they do provide advice on this area free of charge for new businesses.
