How we can stop global warming

We can't stop global warming unless we change our mindset. Increasing transportation use is a cause of global warming due to emissions produced by them. The question is how many of us are willing to live without a car or other everyday vehicles?

None, so we just have to get on with it.

I believe that we can slow down and eventually stop it if we can gain mutual effort from everyone, but the importanting is ourself. We can start with changing our lifestyle first, we might be only a small piece of change but when we start doing that it would influence people around us as well : ))

I think that if you feel we can alter or stop GW then you are deluded. If the whole world stopped using any pollutants tomorrow, i doubt it would have much effect. All this issue has caused is to create another bandwagon for the tax greedy governments to to jump on and cripple its voters and businesses with point less taxes, at the end of the day going green costs nothing it just means we should all look to ways of using less energy and pollutants, tax does not affect this, people do.

The IPCC says that the worst case scenario is for a 59cm sea level rise by by 2100. That requires an unbelievable 6.4 degree temperature rise.

We are currently way below their best case scenario's of both temperature rise and sea level rise. We are on track to have a sea level rise a lot closer to your anckle than your knee. And a believable temperature rise of 1 to 2 degrees.

The effects of the incresed CO2 and slight rise in temperature will be a significant increase in plant fertility and increased rainfall, particularly in the semi-desert regions of the world.

Sadly this is unlikley to happen because the most clear corrolation between climate and other variable factors is that between solar activity and temperature. CO2 looks a lot less guilty than the sun's variability. So there will be, in all reasonsble expectation, cooling over the next 20 - 100 years. If we are unlucky it might be as cold as when there were frost fairs on the frozen Thames.

I can understand them. You have a pressurised inflamable and explosive liquid fueled bomb on wheels. If there is a big smash involving a lorry and the back of your car the claim might be huge.

But its not much different than 13odd gallons of petrol going up, I'm pretty sure the fire flash from a propane blevy would be over faster than the petrol fire which spreads as it runs away.:|:|

Yes, but the petrol tank does not send shrapnel flying through other petrol tanks and spred the fire all over the place.

I hope gas powered cars and especially vans and trucks catch on. But they should be especially designed so as to protect the gas canister.

Hmm, its a fair(ish) point there:) Have you seen the MythBusters episode where they were shooting at gas cylinders trying to explode them? the ONLY way they could do it was to use continuous strafing with tracer rounds!!

It must have a source of ignition as well as the rupture, naturally, both these are freely available in a car wreck situation.

we won't be able to do any thing as we are doing nothing now don't when end will come but very soon for sure:(
I don't understand a word of it but it makes as much sence as all the other alarmist crap that comes out of the AGW gravy train.

Wow....wonder who is warming up all the other planets in our solar system then?....

Hi personally I involve in Pinterest Analytics and Social Media Analytics.Beside that I work in an organization that works on environment.I think everyone's consciousness can reduce it.
Everything you write strikes me as a ringing endorsement of all that is said by the Eco Fairies.
Thank you. Keep it up.

since the first chit chat about ozones and warming 20 years ago or more. has anyone bothered to check the average temperatures over the last 60 years ?
is there any real obvious trend ?
something maybe changing , like a quiet sun. not the hotspot hotspot thats been predicted so far in this cycle 24.ive even read that some think we maybe coming into a mini maunder than a maximum .

so is it going to get colder rather than warmer or is it just same old mr average normal?

ive also read that the new thing to fear porn about is black carbon.. diesel.

get ready

i have no idea if all or any of the above is true or not

how does the global warming is going to affect our planet? What can we do about it? Is it as real as people say it is?
It's no Daught for warming but the first step is starting our self to that how to stop a small mistake who affected warming.
this think very needful and also carefully to us.

Funnily enough I've read about this and something like 20% of global warming is done by humans - which is a small proportion going off the media claims "we are ruining the planet" scare tactics.

Global warming, if I am not mistaken is simply having more moisture in the air which traps the heat making it warmer however the Sun is constantly getting hotter and will do for the next millions of years meaning more water will evaporate and causing the cycle to get worse.

Not as bad as it's portrayed IMO - but I may be mistaken with my info.

With the media if it's not killing the planet it's a dangerous illness like bird flu then back to polar ice caps then back no novovirus then back to wildlife - there is always something.

The most beneficial thing to come of the global warming hype is saving money on utility bills from more energy efficient devices

I see your point; so what you are saying is the price of eggs will rise with the current economic climate?

Global Warming is a serious problem for everyone. We don't need to wait for governments to find a solution for this problem. So I want to give some suggestion for this problem such as:-
1-We should move our thermostat down 2° in winter and up 2° in summer.
2-We should cleaning a dirty air filter can save 350 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
3- We should cover our pots while cooking.
4- We should get a home energy audit.

Global warming is a natural phenomenon, I don't think governments are finding a solution, they are just making money off the image that they are supposedly doing something by creating idiotic climate change levys, congestion charges, low emission zones, increased fuel bills etc.

A recent survey has shown that people care less about the climate than they did a few years ago, why? Probably because we are getting fed up with hearing about how we are killing the planet, being taxed for doing so, while all the time we are not making any real difference.

I burn wood in the winter so my thermostat is practically off anyway, its carbon neutral and i have a clean-burn stove. The reason i would change a dirty air filter would be to reduce fuel costs, it gets done every year anyway. Is a home energy audit free? No? Then forget it, just another bill to pay for someone to tell me that running four computers in one household is costing me money.
