How to improve the conversion of an e-commerce website?

I have an e-commerce website, and many people just go to view the information, sometimes they would add some items to shopping cart, but they don't do an order and leave. How to retain these customer and make them sign up, do an order too?

Hi,

Your clients have to log-in to buy.
This may put many people off. Find a cart where log-in is not required to buy.

Collecting shipping data is normal.

You have how ever made a minimum order of 10 items.
This is for whole sale.
Think you should create a separate website for retail.

If you're mainly selling to non-asian people (i.e. white/black in the west), I think the models should be white/black. It'll almost certainly improve conversion.

That might mean you have one site for Asia and a different site for the west.

Yes, you are right, I must run a site for the west, but I have encountered some problems with item's brand, price, quanlity, etc.

what I did that also reduced cart abandonment was to re-enforce buying decision with testimonials on the order page, as well give a full summary of what they get along with a surprise bonus.... This will surely keep your clients interested to go through with the order

Thanks. That's a good idea, and my website have testimonials. But I found many people would not read the testimonials. I will try your idea.

And now, I just edit the "products info" page, if someone don't login and add one or more items to shopping cart, a message will appear that says the items will not be saved in shopping cart if customer don't login.
