Hi all,
I have a problem with the spam traffic. I tried a lot of ways to block them but still have much spam traffic.
Please help! Thanks

Where are you seeing this spam traffic? In analytics? Can you see where it is coming from? And what do you mean by lots? What have you tried so far?

There are different ways you can tackle it depending on the extent of the problem....

The main reason behind spam traffic is bots. The bot is a small piece of code which runs automated scripts. You can block these bots from the server. Another way is to block the IP address from which you are getting spam traffic. You can also apply filters in your Google analytics account, with which you can exclude domains and IP addresses.

Restricting access to all but a few friendly countries can cut your spam traffic to almost zero.

Maybe try that Jack?

The most effective way to block your spam referral traffic is through a . htaccess (hypertext access) file. This configuration file is used to control your server. It can be instructed to block spammy visits by domain or IP address.
