How to best monetize a mailing list?

Hi,

I have acquired through a partnership 750,000 emails, the list are of consumers who have shown an interest in insurance discounts and general discounts and savings services.

When I tried to send some emails (100,000) to launch a new discount service, my host company told me I was sending too many and needed to talk to an email marketing company who would handle the load. However these companies cost £1000's to use.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get around this or other ways of monetizing the mailing list.

They don't necessarily cost £'000's ...but, surprisingly, they do cost.

There are plenty who will buy data lists but if you are unable/ unwilling to send out the emails on their behalf you need to put inplace methods of ensuring people are only doing with the list what you have licensed it to them to do - ie if you've agreed for them to do a one off mail shot then that they don't send more than one email to them.
