If you look at page insights (if you own a fan page) it will give you a better picture of who likes your page and you can view the user ages. eg on one page 30% are between 25 - 34 and 26% is between 35 - 44 11% 45 -55 and only 8% 18-24 with a tiny 1.7% over 55.

On another page 25-34 is 25% 35-44 is 30% and the 18-24's and 45-54's is pretty much even on 15%.

Again others are pretty much the same with the same user groups (25 - 44) being the most prominent and gender split tends to be about 70% female - this is only from my stats so yes the average user of business pages at least is higher than most people think. :)

Kind Regards

Emma

My parents are on facebook, ok well my Mum is my Dad has no interest at all - however my facebook page is nothing but info and a few pieces of info, kept it very basic after a friend of mine was fired from a large London Law firm because of something on facebook.

If you are serious about your career, avoid putting everything on facebook :D

Mines only available to friends. I work at asda part time and i've rejected friend requests from managers for the fact the only reason they probalies added me was to check up on me etc.

For my own business, I won't be using it or mentioning it at all. It'll be completely separate.

38, female, with children, and usually not able to get out most nights due to family commitments, babysitting, fact that the family isn't on the doorstep to help out. etc. One of those lifestyles that typically disappears into a list of chores and work to get through each day, and then a couple of hours peace at the end of the day when the kids have gone to bed - and a chance to catch up with friends in a similar situation.

Not surprising at all.

I would say that's about right for the average facebook user.
