No typo alarm bell, just an alarm bell that goes off when I hear holier than thou attitudes from people who are sinners themselves.

Spelling only matters for me when dealing with search engines.

The wife ( English Literature MA ) knows every word I say or write.

And understands my point of view that the English Language is spelt wrong.

Thanks VinceSamio for this discussion. It's a breathe of fresh air and is what I wanted to hear from someone other than a very select few I discuss SEO about.

At the end of the day if something like what you've mentioned is true, do you really think it would be made open and easily evident to everyone?

If so, the game would change, making the concept redundent, and this is exactly what all the big players in SEO don't want. Some cards will always be held close to a players chest, whether their belief is truely fact or not.

I'm not going to sway towards the "no-follow does pass pagerank" idea, but SEO is an art as well as a science, and just from watching Matt Cutt videos, you can tell that even some of the smallest points on SEO that he talks about should be taken with a pinch of salt.

To a certain extent SEO is an art - you need to osmose what google is doing through sheer exposure to non-specific data. Very few have that degree of constant daily experience and volume of resource.
