The amount of sales plugs these days is shameful - just saw one from a SEO, this one had really poor English. Some plugs are too obvious, others are quite well engineered - either way both are cringworthy.

We ignore nearly all spam in all forms eg: emai spaml, direct mail spam and particularly forum spam - what do you do, do you read it all, actually buy from these desperates or simply ignore the lot?

Must admit the funniest is forum spam - mostly it very ridiculous to read.

Server level blocks mainly.

But also Spam Bayes at client ... and Spam Cop for any maketing email that gets through (even if personally targeted to me and not mass mail junk).

Plus I also put automatic blocks on anybody who's dumb enough (or careless enough) to give third parties access to their address books. So if I get an invite to join a social network and it seems to have come from you but actually came from a third party ... you're blocked and reported.

A bit harsh? A bit ruthless? Probably.
