Did you check for the name LETME?

If so that would be at strange as I checked and it was not available. However not at the link you have provided .

LETME is heavily registered for domains, just about every extension is already taken. You would have real SEO issues trying to compete with such competition.

My advise would be to check any name on IPO as Bill has suggested but also check the name on domain registrars as well. Your online presence will form a huge part of your marketing when starting up a small business.

You should secure a .co.uk and also a .com if possible.

Do not forget to do a local search online for similar names that are sole traders etc. Check Companies House for registered company names. Check if a suitable domain name is available.

Given that the OP has noted a West Yorkshire-Bradford catchment area, the normal .co.uk & .com can be gained by registering LETME-Bradford, LETME-Wakefield etc.

That's very true Bill, but sort of restricts there catchment area for searches. If they wanted to expand for any reason that would be difficult with such a name. Would be better to have a domain free of a city name and instead go with domain-name . com/west-yorkshire and domain-name . com/wakefield for example.

Anyway, that's my opinion! :) Hope it helps.

If I think of local letting agents many are known by business owners names. How are you going to make your business name stand out? Just asking, not trying to confuse the issue?

Having thought about it for a little, I would like the idea of having a locally centred approach, having 6-8 domains all pointing to a single site, if someone googles homes to let Bradford, there's a good chance to get on page one.

Looking at West Yorkshire, Bradford, Halifax, Keighley, Shipley, Leeds, Dewsbury, Brighouse, all domains can point to LETME-West Yorkshire.

You can do that Bill, but then your having to pay for multiple domains, with no SEO benefit. Google would much rather you have one domain with unique content for each catchment area.

Anyway, maybe shifting off topic here for the op.

A little confused as I'm Defo no whizz at SEO ! Lol.

However iv been researching although I like the name Let&move I cannot find a .com , .co domain

I am also keen on LETME. And the good news is LETMEWESTYORKSHIRE.com & .co ARE Available

Weird. Not sure why that says LETME is available. If you check Nominet it's registered to Andrew Reeve till October 2015. LetAndMove seems to be registered already as well.

Could you be different?
Associative names - Fixed Price Lettings. Low Cost Lettings. Simple Lettings. Fast Lets
Catchy but Descriptive - Let Us Let U (LULU).
Freestanding Names - WigWam, Igloo,

Just throwing them in the mix. It might make you think on a tangent and find something you love. (Love Lets) see, even as I type new names drop in.

Some good suggestions there Mike. I like LULU, would make a quirky logo. Fast Lets is good as well.

LULU.co.uk - very easy to remember.

Your domain is not SEO (well not entirely). Its branding, ease of use, and helps someone searching online to understand what your site is about.

Rentplace

Rentmarts

Leasingwell

If you are thinking of geographic target market - put name of place or county in name. If you are thinking bigger or concept can be franchised - keep it generic.

Statement of interest!
I've got the .co.uk / .com domains for these and you can have them dead cheap!

Best wishes with new venture
