Hi

When someone is trying to purchase something from my site I have received emails with error on them and when I log onto sagepay the following message is beside the customers name "Transaction REJECTED by the Vendor Rulebases on the Protx systems."

any ideas what this means and how to fix it?

Thank you

Not a clue, but Protx became Sagepay a while ago now so maybe you are using an out of date payment module if you are getting an error which quotes Protx?

I would raise this with them though as they should be able to advise on the error

Yes, it means that one or more of the rules you have set up are rejecting the transaction. Log into your sagepay administrator account (the main account, not the user account), and you can take a look at the rules there.

You can set up rules to reject for postcode match failures, CVV match failures etc.

Hi

You may set up fraud prevention rules to automatically accept or reject a transaction within your My Sage Pay Admin area. Log into My Sage Pay, select 'Administration' tab followed by 'Account Parameters' tab.

For more information on how to create/amend a rulebase regarding AVS (address and postcode) and CV2 (3 digits on reverse of card) or 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode) please log onto our website, sagepay.com:

select Developers tab
select Admin Manual tab
choose Managing your Sage Pay Account
you may then select 'Enabling AVS & CV2' or 'Activating 3D Secure'

If you experience any other error messages you may refer to our Error page via our website, sagepay.com:

select Developers tab
select Integration Manual
choose 'Error Message Troubleshooting'

If you require any further assistance please feel free to contact me on 0845 111 4455 or via Twitter, Kay_SagePay. I am available between 0900-1700 on Monday 22 February.

Kind regards
