Help needed - bad results with LinkedIn post views

Original Post:

First of all, I need to say that I am still quite new at posting on LinkedIn.

We have recently written a post on LinkedIn that I reshared with my comments and some relevant hashtags for my customers.

It was the first time where I had included hashtags in a post.
The total number of followers of these hashtags is 180 000 so I was expecting a good impression results, at least a few thousands.

After 3 days, I only had 150 impressions.

What did go wrong?

I can send you the link in PM (post is in French)
We have recently posted a post which I reshaped including a personal message and relevant hashtags for my customers.

I am aware that posts need to be liked and commented to get a good

On what basis did you expect a few thousand impressions for your post. Just because you use a hashtag with 180K doesn't mean people will click on your content.

LinkedIn isn't a great lead-gen platform, it's far more about reltionship building

Ultimately its down to the quality and relevance of both your network and your posts

    100% agree.

Content matters on LinkedIn, but if you haven't built up your network and professional relationships, the impression barrier is difficult to beat.

OP, cut back on the content and look to strengthening your relationships on the platform.

    I use LI a lot.

Been persistent with it for over a year, have circa 1,000 connections.

Even then my regular daily posts get to a few hundred views.

Best I've done is around 5,000.

If you want better results, other than the advice above, my own input is that you have to play the long game.

Even then it's more about nurturing relationships on the site, targeting who you want to work with/sell to.

If you're not doing this, then you'll get zero.

Linkedin generates me customers. They literally pick up a phone and call me, bypassing my website which needs a makeover.

En plus, je parle le francais et je serais ravi de jeter un coup d'oeil sur votre 'post.'

So if you want to learn how to do Linkedin for 'impressions' and generate actual customers, what I do is very simple. I write about stuff that is congruent with my brand and stuff that educates, inspires or entertains my target prospect. This is different from 'views.'

E.g. My biggest post had 50k+ views, 700+ like and 100+ comments. However, I had zero leads from it because it wasn't relevant to my business. However, posts with just a few hundred views get my audience to call me. And one post by itself will do nothing. It's about regularly posting.

Just to show you, here are two of my posts. One of them generated me leads jus to keep me in front of my audience, while the other one generated hard leads but had a lot less views.

    1. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/paul...-u?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

    2. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/paul...t0?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

The one with more views was the first one with a few thousand. The second had a lot less views: 1,300. But the second generated leads and a customer plus I used it to upsell and cross-sell a couple of customers. The second is a 'trigger' post meaning someone who regularly looks at my posts saw it and called me. They literally said "I want that."

However, I only occasionally put trigger posts in because it's too salesy and no-one jumps onto social to be sold to (see the first post). And naturally, because I'm video production, the posts which generate the most leads are videos.

If you want advice, DM me and happy to share.

That make sense my biggest post was when I wrote about that we were trying to raise 200K for one of my Granddaughters friends that needed cancer treatment in America
Nothing to do with my business but I was more than happy with the hits
Kayla did get to America and she is better and back at school full time now
