Great business idea - reliable partners needed

Hi all,
I have been in autoparts and accessories business for years, and looking to expand business overseas.
i`m from San Francisco, CA, USA, i have wholesale license and good connections to major importers from Asia, and get products for discounted price. Right now dollar is at all times low and UK pound is strong, i`d like to take advantage of that.
I done market research, I`ve been actively selling items before, but shipping costs are high and competition tough. I need a partner or a shop who is sharing similar interest in tuning/car parts area and is willing to spend some time developing business. Good website would be a good start, the idea is to bring the parts in by large quantities and distribute them inside UK, mainly on ebay.co.uk, or any other places. I have knowledge about the product and like, and ve done this before, The problem, that i used to ship directly to customer, from USA to UK, items one by one, Right now strategy is to buy wholesale, ship wholesale and distribute one by one..
What do you think are chances of success.? i`m open to any ideas/suggestions/critics etc. and if you would like to know more details about this., drop me an e-mail, or post here, thanks

I used to own a perfect domain for this project carspareparts.co.uk (sold it a couple of years ago) I also own some premises central within the UK that could be used for start up distribution (vacant at the moment). Timing's wrong unfortunately, I live in Spain now.

I`ve had a taste of running my own business and I liked it, I feel confident about the products and business perspectives. Products - performance, tuning/styling parts for Subaru, BMW, Audi, Honda, Nissan, Toyota etc... that means exhaust systems, intake manifolds, suspension packages, performance brakes, exterior styling, lightning, custom interior parts, etc. Also I heard that in the UK it`s hard to come up with some parts for a few American cars that are sold there (Corvette, Mustang, Hummer, Neon, PT cruiser, 300C, etc) and they are expensive, and this is great opportunity to fill the gap, as I can get anything one needs for his/her Yankeemobile. .


The main thing that i`m looking for -is honesty. I see that as a partnership -you don`t work FOR me, you work WITH me for yourself.... Also understanding a thing or two about automobiles would help too, but thats not an issue. If there`s a will, there`s a way...

Also, if anyone would like to test USA market with his/her product, I would be happy to assist you bringing your items over Atlantic, but due to poor $$$ rates right now I think it`s risky, unless it`s a something totally unique and extraordinary. cheers
